Iron Cookware for an Iron Booster
Need more iron in your diet. Cook with iron skillets. They might need a little more elbow grease to clean, but iron naturally leaches out of the cookware and into your food while being cooked. A study form the Georgetown University School of Medicine demonstrated that you can double the iron content of your food by cooking with cast-iron pots and skillets. They noted that acidic foods, such as chili and spaghetti sauce actually amplify this process.
