Parents as Nutritional Role Models

According to the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, kids are more likely to eat 5 servings of veggies and fruits a day if their parents do. They also found that those children who ate their 5 servings were leaner and healthier. This is in contrast to kids who ate mostly fast food and soda. In these cases the kids were more likely to mimic their parents and ultimately were overweight and unhealthy. Although this seems like such common sense, American children are continuing to gain weight.
